Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 2nd, 2005 in Conference Room S206 on the upper level of Pikes Peak Community College, Rampart Range campus (next to New Life Church) from 12:00 Noon to 3:00pm.
The auditions are for the upcoming short film "Product Plus", which will be submitted to several film festivals nationwide for the 2005 season.
SYNOPSIS:
Salesman and entrepreneur Artie Richfield has spent his entire life trying to create a product that will change the world. Once he finally does it, the product doesn't do anything, but it sells. And it sells well.
We are looking for women and men who can play ages between 20 and 30. We will be applying makeup in order to age our actors.
The roles being cast include:
Artie Richfield: A failed salesman for life, and inventor of Product Plus, the product that will change the way businesses run forever.
Olivia Richfield: Artie's skeptical wife. Olivia does not believe that Product Plus will work or sell and that Artie is wasting his time.
Ferdinand Peppercorn: An eccentric owner of a failing company. Ferdinand is the first person to take an active interest in Artie and his product.
Various extra roles: Other people Artie tries to sell the product to, co-workers of Artie's, other various extras.
The current estimated running time of the film is 10 minutes. This is not permanent, and may change.
Shooting is slated to begin in early May, and an exact date has not yet been scheduled.
For The Audition, You Will Need To Bring The Following:
- A short prepared monologue from anything (This can be something you have written)
- A resume of previous work (if any)
- A headshot
- A demo of some of your previous work (optional)
